Angelica Cruz-Montes

With over 25 years of nursing experience, Angelica Cruz-Montes brings vast industry expertise, unmatched dedication, and the compassionate approach that she’s renowned for to her role as Chief Nursing Officer. Tasked with leading our sought-after medical team, from ensuring our facilities adhere to best nursing practices and overseeing staff performance to implementing training programs, Angelica is committed to excellence.

Incredibly passionate about transforming standards of mental health care, Angelica views each resident as an individual – not a diagnosis. A stickler for fairness, she is known for her hands-on approach to the residents in our care, encouraging them to meet their full potential, retain hope, and be open to life’s possibilities. Cantered on empathy, ethics, and education, Angelica is the driving force behind several in-house programs, services, policies, and procedures, many of which are rolled out sitewide.

Representing the epitome of exceptional nursing, Angelica was welcomed into Inspired Behavioural Health after being awarded a place among Houston’s top 100 nurses. Having gained experience across various hospitals, clinics, and facilities, including managerial, coaching, and director roles spanning several specialties, Angelica is consistently regarded as a valued member of the team, celebrated by colleagues and residents alike.

Built upon a foundation of respect for life, resident wellbeing, truthfulness, privacy, and confidentiality, Angelica’s nursing career has played an active role in transforming the lives of many, from youths to the elderly, with countless residents actively engaging with her initiatives. And when she isn’t making a difference in the mental health realm? Angelica thrives in the outdoors, spending time hiking, cycling, fishing, and walking her dogs with her husband and three daughters – the individuals she regards as her inspirations.
